Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about trials, bookings, payments and lessons. Can’t find your answer? Get in touch.

Bridal

What is the process to secure my date?

A 20% deposit secures your date and confirms the booking.

Do I need to prepare my skin before my trial appointment?

Please come to your trial with clean skin and no makeup, if you’re happy to — ideally cleansed the evening before.

When are trial appointments available during the week?

Trials are available any day during the week — we’ll find a time that suits you.

How long does a trial take?

I typically allow around 1.5 hours for a bridal trial so we can perfect the look without rushing.

How soon can I book my wedding makeup?

I take bookings 3–6 months in advance. If your date is more than a year away, get in touch and I’ll pencil it in — when it’s time to book, I’ll be in touch to arrange the deposit and secure your date.

General

How can I make a payment?

I accept cash, PayPal, card payments and bank transfer.

Are you fully insured as a makeup artist?

Yes — I hold Public Liability Insurance.

Travel & on location

Do you travel to me, or do I come to you?

I come to you — your home, hotel suite or venue — with a full professional kit. It’s how I work for every booking, from wedding mornings to corporate shoots.

Which areas of London do you cover?

All of London and just beyond. I’m most frequently booked in Mayfair, Kensington, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Notting Hill, Hampstead, St John’s Wood, Belgravia, Richmond and the City — but if you’re elsewhere, just ask. Travel is included in your quote.

Can you manage a very early start?

Yes — early ceremony times and on-set call times are completely normal. Tell me when you need to be ready and how many people are having makeup, and I’ll build the timing plan backwards from there.

Do you do makeup for the whole wedding party?

Gladly — mothers, bridesmaids and family are part of most of my bridal bookings. For larger parties I’ll either start earlier or bring an assistant, so no one’s morning is rushed.

Makeup lessons

Should I wear makeup or prep my hair for my lesson?

There’s no need to wear makeup or style your hair beforehand — it’s actually better to come without makeup if you can.

Can you review my makeup products and tools?

Absolutely. Bring your kit along to a lesson and I’ll review your products and tools and give you tailored advice.

Can I book just one lesson?

Of course. If you know which skills or techniques you’d like to learn or improve, I can run a focused masterclass on exactly that.

Do you offer gift vouchers for your makeup courses?

Yes — gift vouchers are available for makeup courses. Just get in touch and I’ll arrange one for you.

What will I learn during the makeup course?

We can follow my course structure, or pick the areas you’re struggling with and master them together. Get in touch and I’ll share the full course outline.

Do you offer group makeup lessons?

Yes — I teach one-to-one, or you can come with a friend and you’ll both receive a discount.
