About Valeria

I’m Valeria — a makeup artist based in London, working where the day takes me: a bride’s suite at dawn, a studio under hot lights, a dressing room before the cameras roll.

Editorial, fashion, commercial and private clients. The brief changes; the standard doesn’t.

A few words

How I work

I come to you with a full professional kit and work to your features, your colouring and the light you’ll be in. What I’m really after is makeup that survives a long day and a close-up lens — and that, in the photographs, simply looks like you on a very good morning. Not a mask, not someone else’s face. You, at your best, still recognisably you.

Most of my work is done quietly and on location: a wedding morning that has to run calmly to a schedule, a set where the look needs to hold between takes, an evening where the face has to read under chandeliers and survive until the last dance. Different rooms, different pressures — but the same way of working. I turn up early, work without fuss, and treat your photographs as if they were my own.

The work itself ranges from skin that barely announces itself to a stronger editorial concept when the brief calls for one. I’ll always tell you honestly what will photograph well and wear well, rather than what’s simply fashionable this season.

What I bring

The reassurances behind the work

I’m trained and qualified, and fully insured — I hold public liability cover, the kind any venue or production may reasonably ask to see. A full professional kit comes to you, with products chosen for your skin and built to last the day rather than the first hour of it.

I’m discreet by habit and comfortable with private clients, public figures and closed sets — and happy to sign an NDA where a production needs one. What’s said and seen in the chair stays there.

And for every wedding, there’s a trial before the day itself. We settle the look together, unhurried, so that nothing about the morning is a surprise — for you, or for me.
